Troubleshooting a Missing Rate Plan


Where is the Rate Plan failing to display?

  1. Not appearing on the drop-down menu.

    1. Has the Tariff or Package been built in the b4checkin Admin Site?

    2. Has the Tariff or Package been enabled to show on the drop-down menu from the b4checkin Admin Site?

      1. If not, adjust the settings on the Rate Plan in the b4checkin Admin Site, save and  re-test.

  2. Not appearing when you type in the Promo Code.

    1. Has the Tariff or Package been built in the b4checkin Admin SIte?

  3. Not appearing on the Special Offers page.

    1. Has the Tariff or Package been built in the b4checkin Admin Site?

    2. Has the Tariff or Package been enabled to show on the Special Offers page from the b4checkin Admin Site?

      • If not, adjust the settings on the Rate Plan in the b4checkin Admin Site, save and re-test.

  4. Not appearing available anywhere; cannot be booked when selected from the drop-down, using the Promo Code, or from the Special Offers page.

    1. Has the Tariff or Package been built in the b4checkin Admin Site?

    2. Is there a special character or space in the Package or Tariff code in Visual One?

      • If so, this Package or Tariff cannot be booked online. chameleon™ does not support special characters or spaces in Package or Tariff codes.

      • You must create a new Tariff or Package Code that does contain a special character or space.

    3. Is the Tariff or Package marked as "Available on Web" in Visual One?

      • Packages are set on the Package screen, under the "Web" tab. Adjust, save and re-test.

      • Tariffs are set as available in the Web Settings of Visual One. Adjust, save and re-test.

    4. Packages only: Is the Effective Through date accurate?

      • The Effective Through date must match the Start and End Date of the Package. If not, adjust, save and re-test.

    5. Packages only: Has the arrival day of the week been set so that the first day is the earlier day of the week? Visual One requires that this be true. Example: Wednesday to Thursday would be correct, but Thursday to Wednesday would not operate.

      • If not, adjust, save and re-test.

      • Most common is setting the arrival day as Saturday to Sunday. Sunday is considered to be before Saturday in the week and therefore would not be accepted.

    6. Packages only: If the Package has a Tariff attached, is the Tariff available or does it have restrictions?

      • If the Tariff is not available, the Package will not be available. Ensure that the Tariff is selected as "Available on Web" & that no restrictions are set on the Tariff.

    8. Packages only: Does the Package Code match an existing Tariff Code in Visual One?

      • If so, a new Package Code must be built that does not match any existing code.

    9. Tariffs only: does the Tariff Code match an existing Package Code in Visual One?

      • If so, a new Tariff must be built that does not match any existing code.

    10. Does the Tariff or Package Code in the b4checkin Admin Site match the Tariff or Package Code as built in Visual One? Are there any spelling mistakes?

    11. If so, correct the spelling mistake and re-test.


      If none of these apply, contact b4checkin for further troubleshooting.
