About Languages

The Languages section of the b4checkin Admin Site enables an Agilysys or b4checkin Super User to create a Language for a property to use in chameleon™.

  1. Languages currently built in chameleon™ admin are English and Spanish only.

  2. Should a property wish to add a language, b4checkin must provide them with a list of fields that require translation. It is the property's responsibility to have these items translated and provide them to b4checkin in order to set up a new language.

Adding a Language

  1. Select “Settings” then “Manage Languages”.

  2. Select “+Add a Language”.

  3. Language Code: Enter a code for the new language.

  4. Language Name: Enter the name of the language as it will appear in the Admin Site.

  5. Flag: Upload the flag that will display when a user wishes to change languages.

  6. Save.

  7. The property must provide b4checkin with translations for all fields in our Languages document.  Without these, the booking engine headers and buttons will not be translated and will appear in English.

  8. b4checkin will update the booking engine with the translations provided. This is a support task that will take some time.

  9. The property must also translate their Room Type Descriptions, Rate Type Descriptions, Messages and any other text fields configured in the b4checkin Admin Site into this new language, before making the new language available.

  10. Once ready to make the language live, select the property logo then “Manage Your Properties”.

  11. Select the Edit button next to the desired property.

  12. Select Languages.

  13. Add the newly-created Language to this property.

Selecting a Language

b4checkin or Agilysys Support is required to adjust these settings.
