Mapping a Tariff in the Visual One OTA Monitor
All tariffs that you wish to sell through chameleon™ must be mapped in the OTA Monitor.
Below are the OTA Monitor requirements for chameleon™. Note: It is also possible that Agilysys may require other items to be set up in the OTA Monitor for other PMS related purposes.
To map a tariff in the OTA Monitor, the following is required:
- All tariffs to be booked by chameleon™ must be mapped in the Agilysys OTA Monitor, including those tariffs that may be associated with booking IDs.
- The "rate plan" field must match the tariff code exactly. This field is case sensitive.
- The tariff must be selected in the tariff drop-down menu.
- "Use Custom Market Segments" check box must be selected, and the appropriate codes need to be associated.
Adding a Tariff to chameleon™
The following items must be accomplished within Visual One prior to accessing the chameleon admin:
- The tariff must be built in Visual One along with rates associated.
- See specifications on how the tariff must be built in the above section labeled Agilysys Visual One Tariffs & OTA Monitor MappingTARIFFS & chameleon™ Rate Plans.

Once the above items are accomplished within Visual One, the property must now build the tariff in the chameleon admin:
- Select "Rate Plans" then "Manage Rate Plans".
- Select "+ Add a Rate Plan".
- Select the "Rate Plan Type" as tariff from the drop-down.
- Active: will allow it to be bookable online.
- Is this default for property: this will default the guest to this tariff when they land on the booking engine.
- Sort Order: relates to how this tariff will be sorted on the drop-down menu and special offers page (if enabled).
- Rate Plan Code: the tariff code as created in Visual One.
- Hours to Cancel and Change: the point where a guest not allowed to change or cancel online, in hours.
- Note: the hours to cancel and change field must be set and should be set to 0 hours for all GDS rate plans (setting no value is not acceptable). The property will set a cancellation period in their GDS extranet which will be respected by that GDS provider. If the change or cancellation request then hits the b4checkin interface, it will need to be accepted (hence why 0 hours must be set). If this is set to a larger value, the reservation will fail.
