About Rate Landing Pages

Create and distribute custom Rate Landing Pages (RLPs) to promote any negotiated or exclusive rate. Indispensable for communicating corporate rates, group rates and exclusive promotions to a specific target audience. Rate Landing Pages let you communicate any pertinent booking and stay details to a target audience, and to provide members of that audience a way to access your booking engine and their exclusive rates.

About Rate Landing Pages

Optional rate landing pages (RLPs) can be created for each Group Booking ID. These pages can be used to present group specific information to create a customized booking experience.

  1. The Booking ID associated with the Group Rate Landing Page must first be built in the b4checkin Admin Site. See Agilysys Visual One Groups & chameleon™ for more information.

  2. The chameleon™ User Experience (UX) design you have applied to your booking engine dictates which group rate landing page layout is available.

  3. Custom banner images can be uploaded for each landing page you create. Size requirements for these images are different for each UX:

    1. User Experience 1 Banner Image Sizes: 3000px x 600px (display: 1500px x 300px)
    2. User Experience 2 Banner Image Sizes: 2720px x 600px (display: 1360px x 300px)
    3. User Experience 3 Banner Image Sizes: 2280px x 600px (display: 1140px x 300px)

  4. Custom logo images can also be uploaded for each landing page. Size requirement is 86px x 86px

Adding a Rate Landing Page

  1. Your Group ID must be created first. See Adding, Editing, Customizing & Removing a Visual One Group Booking ID to chameleon™.

  2. Select “Groups” then “Manage RLPs”.

  3. Select “Add a RLP”.

  4. Rate Plan ID: Select the Booking ID that was created under “Rate Plans” > “Manage Rate Plans”.

  5. RLP Category: Select Group.

  6. Name in URL: Enter the end-point to be used for the RLP link.

    1. Example: http://book.b4checkin.com/chameleon/agilysys/rlp/HartmanWedding

Note: this field cannot include any special characters. These special characters include:

      :/?#[]@!$')(*+=;,&%

  7. Inactive: Selecting this would make the page inactive and inaccessible.

  8. Use Booking Button: if the group can book online, select this check-box to display a booking button on the rate landing page. Leaving out the booking button disables the ability to navigate to the booking engine from the rate landing page.

  9. Effective Date: Normally the start date of the group. This determines the initial sort order for the full list of all rate landing pages you create.

  10. Display Room prices on RLP: Causes prices to pull from Visual One and display on the landing page.

  11. Show Rooms: Causes room types to pull from Visual One and display on the rate landing page. This is required to show prices on the landing page.

  12. Use logo: Causes the logo image you uploaded to display on the rate landing page.

  13. Use banner: Causes the custom banner image you uploaded to appear on the rate landing page.

  15. Show cut-off date: Pulls the cut-off date for the group from Visual One to display on the rate landing page.

  16. Show cut-off message: Causes a standard message - stating that the group is no longer bookable online due to the cut-off date having passed - to display when the page is accessed after the cut off date has passed.

  17. Company Name: bold name of the group for this landing page. Appears appears at the top of the landing page and on the Admin summary list as a sorting field.

  18. Headline: bold text that appears below the company name on the landing page.

  19. Title: appears at the top of the landing page.

  20. Opening Text: opening text that appears below the headline.

  21. Fine Print: special conditions applicable to the group that appears at the bottom of the landing page.

  22. Closing Text: closing text forming the second last message on the landing page; above the fine print.

  23. Terms Text: Terms & Conditions for this group; appears below the room types and prices.

  24. Short Terms Text: Additional text area that appears below the book now button and group dates.

  25. Sold Out Text: If you have room types enabled to show on the landing page, this message will appear when a room type is sold out.

  26. Bullets Header: Headline for optional bullet points; appears on the landing page below the room types, events and terms and conditions.

  27. Events Header: Headline for optional events; appears on the landing page below the room types and terms and conditions.

Deactivating a Rate Landing Page

Group rate landing pages can either be deleted or deactivated. Deleting eliminates the page completely, while deactivating keeps the page on file in case you need to re-use it in future. Deactivating makes the page inaccessible online and stores it under "Inactive" for potential future re-use.

  1. Select “Groups” then “Manage RLPs”. Select the (x) symbol on the right of the group rate plan in question. The group rate plan is now deactivated and no longer accessible online.

  2. Select “Groups” then “Manage RLPs”. Select the Edit symbol to the right of the desired rate landing page. Select the “Inactive” box. Save. The group rate plan is now deactivated and no longer accessible online.
