Merchant Link Setup

1. NOTE: Merchant Link E-Commerce works with most processors in US funds. The only processors Merchant Link will work with in Canadian funds is Chase and First Data.
   
   
2. The property acquires a Merchant Link E-Commerce MID, adding b4checkin as a Contact. Merchant Link will then send credentials to b4 directly, so that we can log into Merchant Link's system to complete the set up.
   
   
3. The email b4 receives contains the property's initial log-in to the Merchant Link portal. b4 will log in with those credentials and change the password as described below.

   The integration for Rimrock Resort Hotel been certified and you can now use our e-Commerce solution in a production environment.  Below you will find the production credentials and merchant profile information for the account. Please make sure to keep this email in a safe location, as you will need to refer back to the details below.

   Please ensure that your firewalls permit connections to all IP networks listed below on port TCP/443 from your systems that require connection to services offered by Merchant Link:

   IPv4 Networks:

   • 204.8.252.0/24
   • 204.28.229.0/24

4. b4checkin then creates a new User with rights to generate the API key needed to complete the setup of the payment gateway.

Data Required

E-Commerce MID
User ID
Merchant Link API version (always 39)
Portal credentials (The Site ID & password in the email from Merchant Link, above)

Merchant Link Portal

1. Open https://cnp.merchantlink.com/ma/
   
   
2. Fill in the information contained in the email from Merchant Link to the property:
   
   
   
   
   
3. Select Admin -> Change Password and proceed to change the password.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Select Admin -> Operators
   
   
   
   
5. Select "Create a New Merchant Administration Operator"
   
   
   
   
6. Enter as shown, with password b4Ch3ck1N
   
   
   
   
7. In the General section, select "May Configure Integration Settings":
   
   
   
   
8. Select Submit at the bottom of the page:
   
   
   
   
9. Select Log Out from right end of main nav bar:
   
   
   
   
10. Log in as the newly created User:
    
    
    
    
11. Select Admin -> Integration Settings
    
    
    
    
12. Select the 'Edit' button located to the far right of 'Integration Authentication':
    
    
    
    
13. Check 'Password 1', and Select 'Generate New', to make an API key appear:
    
    
    
    
14. Copy and save the API Key that appeared when you selected 'Generate New'.
    
    
    
    
15. Select Submit to exit.
    
    
    
    

Settings in b4checkin Admin Site

Under the Pay Gate Settings heading (see lower section of screenshot below):

1. PAY GATE TYPE - select Merchant Link
   
   
2. MERCHANT ID - enter the ePort Merchant ID from the email sent to the property by Merchant Link (usually similar to B4CHECKIN04)
   
   
3. PASSWORD MERCHANT - enter the API Key generated in the section above
   
   
4. API VERSION - enter 39
   
   
5. TOKENIZATION SITE ID - enter the 6-digit numeric 'Site Code' from the email sent to the property by Merchant Link.
